David has over 20 years of leadership and technology experience. He is an experienced, well known manager. A recovering corporate lawyer, in 2005 he founded Sceata Group LLC, a private technology commercialization firm. Working through Sceata he co-founded a specialty medical device and diagnostic company focused on the development of new and innovative remote biomonitoring products and technologies for the connected healthcare market. The position was divested in 2008. He is a registered securities representative of Carrollton Securities in Princeton NJ and holds Series 7, 63 & 79 FINRA licenses. From 2008 to 2011 he was EVP and General Counsel at Semandex Networks, Inc. From 2002 to 2005, he was a partner at the law firm Saul Ewing LLP. He is the Principal Investigator on a current U.S. Department of Energy award pertaining to modular run-of-the-river hydropower.
He studied at Columbia University Business School and is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law and Princeton University.
David is an advisor to WaterCube LLC, Charleston, SC-based company that offers proprietary quantitative and mathematical modeling solutions to assess potential hydrokinetic and head-based hydropower sites. He is an associate member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and a member of Engineers Without Borders. In his spare time, he is a passionate sailboat racer.
